My LinkedIn Recruiter Search Doesn't Work In The Botdog Import

Sometimes complex LinkedIn Recruiter searches won't import properly. This usually happens when your search has many filters or conditions.

Here's a quick fix that works every time.

The Solution: Use Saved Searches

Instead of trying to import your long search directly, save it first in LinkedIn Recruiter:

  1. Run your search in LinkedIn Recruiter

  2. Click the "Save search" button at the top of your results

  3. Fill in:

    • Search name

    • Project name

  4. Click "Save"

How to Use Your Saved Search in Botdog

  1. Go to "Saved searches" in LinkedIn Recruiter

  2. Click on your saved search to open it

  3. Copy the URL from your browser

  4. Import this URL into Botdog like you would with any other LinkedIn search

That's it! Your complex search will now work perfectly.

Why This Works

Saved searches in LinkedIn Recruiter are processed differently than direct searches, making them more stable and reliable when importing into Botdog. While we're working on supporting all types of direct searches, this is the most reliable workaround for now.
