Setting Up Your Blacklist

Step 1: Access the Blacklist Feature Go to Settings β†’ Blacklist in your Botdog dashboard: https://app.botdog.co/settings/blacklist

Step 2: Create a New Blacklist

  1. Click "Add to blacklist"

  2. Give your blacklist a descriptive name (like "Competitors" or "Existing Customers")

  3. Click "Next"

Step 3: Import Your List

  1. Prepare a CSV file with LinkedIn public URLs of people you want to blacklist

  2. Click "Import people to Blacklist"

  3. Upload your CSV file

The system will identify people by their LinkedIn public URLs, so make sure your CSV includes the full LinkedIn profile links.

What Gets Blacklisted

Once someone is on your blacklist, Botdog will automatically skip them in all current and future campaigns. They won't receive connection requests or messages from your automated sequences.

Pro Tip: Use the AI Review for Broader Exclusions

If you want to exclude people from entire companies (like "Don't message anyone from Lemlist, PhantomBuster, or other automation tools"), consider using our AI Lead Review feature instead. It's more flexible for company-wide exclusions and can catch variations in job titles and company names that a manual blacklist might miss.

Your blacklist helps keep your outreach professional and targeted - no more awkward messages to competitors or people you shouldn't be contacting!
